Cooked prawns

Cooked and fresh, due to their high protein levels, prawns are especially good for muscle development, and are therefore highly recommended during childhood, adolescence and pregnancy (stages of life with more protein intake needs). An abundance of iodine regulates the body’s energy levels, correct cell function and helps to strengthen hair, skin and nails. Prawns are also rich in iron, phosphorus, calcium, potassium, zinc, magnesium and sodium. They provide many essential vitamins, especially B3 and E.
They can be eaten straight from the tray at refrigerator temperature in the summer season and at room temperature in colder periods. Although they are already cooked, they can be slightly stir-fried with garlic and parsley or “marinière” style (with onions, garlic, parsley, tomato, paprika, salt, flour and a glass of white wine).
